SAWTOOTH SALMON FESTIVAL

  • Sawtooth Interpretive & Historical Association (map)

This free, family-friendly event is a celebration of Idaho’s wild salmon and steelhead migration. During the migration some salmon will travel over 900 miles from the Pacific Ocean to central Idaho, making the longest journey of anadromous fish in the lower 48 states. IRU will be offering salmon red tours again this year where the public can take a bus ride to see salmon spawning in the iconic Salmon River, near Redfish Lake. Tours take off at 11:30am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm.
