When the @meridian.lifestyle Magazine asked me if I would write an article about working at home with kids… I thought… “oh boy! Can there be swearing???” 😂
But really, I think a lot of us discovered that working at home with kids, or becoming new homeschool parents, or whatever the pandemic threw at you- could cause some serious mental strain.

I gave a few tips for how I was able to maintain my sanity, but one I wish I had pushed a little more was perhaps the most important. GET HELP.
This whole idea that we are supposed to do all of this all on on our own is preposterous. For me it meant renegotiating my budget a little bit to reallocate some funds to take some pressure off.
Here are some of the local businesses that have seriously made my life 1000 times easier.
▪️ @boisepremiercleaning - there’s no way I can deep clean my house and work a full-time job from home. NOPE. My kids have lots of chores, but using this fantastic local company has allowed me to just relax in my own home.
▪️ @wind_riverboise - lawn work was taking up an entire night every single week, that’s the time we wanted to spend with our family.
▪️ A Beautiful Reaction - I spend one hour a week working on Instagram in the chair getting a blowout and I don’t have to do my hair again for seven days.
▪️Meal services! I love having lunches delivered for me so I know that I am always eating at least one healthy meal a day. I love @hautefoodsboise and @avaflavasllc
▪️ The Editor’s Touch this is a personal one for me, but I finally realized that I just couldn’t design my website like I wanted to, so I brought in the big guns.
▪️ Train with Trev - I never knew how empowering it would be to have an incredible trainer on my side.
▪️ @hlc_boise - homeschooling is not my jam. But for one of my children it was necessary during the pandemic. Huntington Tutoring helped so much.
▪️I hate numbers. Financial reports, taxes… all of it makes me want to die. Melissa with @numbersandtech takes that ALL OFF MY PLATE. 🙏🏼
