DAY OF REMEBRANCE, THE POWER OF WORDS

  • IDAHO STATE MUSEUM (map)

Words can uplift or repress. The 2023 Day of Remembrance program will explore the history of Japanese American incarceration, how words and silence led to this violation of civil liberties, and its continuing legacy. The Wassmuth Center for Human Rights Spiral of Injustice will be discussed, its implications today, and what steps each of us can take to stop the Spiral of Injustice. The program will include short films, speakers, and discussion. Tour of the Anne Frank Memorial available after the program.
