The McCall Winter Carnival is a long-standing Idaho tradition inspired by the 1924 Payette Lake Winter Games. Since the 1960s, it has grown into a major event, attracting over 60,000 visitors each year. The festival features live music, parades, dog sledding, fireworks, and impressive ice sculptures created by local artists. The 2025 Carnival will take place from February 21–23.
