Maija Karin Photography
Maija Karin Photography was started by Maija over 20 years ago. She has photographed moments from intimate backyard weddings to grand backdrops like Tuscany, Italy and the beaches of Mexico. Her focus and what holds her true love for photography comes from her desire to be human first and then let the technical part be the frame of each image she creates. To Maija, photography is about the connection, the relationships she gets to witness and the connection she gets to have with the people who invite her into their world for some of the most special times in their lives. Maija's photography style is a hybrid of capturing the real, raw emotion of photojournalism and at the same time make you look cover-of-Vogue amazing. She calls it "directed photojournalism".
Maija grew up in central Washington and has traveled extensively. She has been living in Idaho for 13 years and calls it home.
